Electrical System

I replaced all 8 of the 6 volt deep cycle batteries, She has a 5kw Northern Lights Get set very few hours. Two 12 volt winches one on each side of the pilothouse to operate the JIB.Bow Thruster, 12 volt windless with two Anchors.

Other Equipment

Both Main and Jib sails are Roller furling operated from within the pilothouse.

Reason for selling. I purchased the boat late 2021 then came down with cancer. It has chanced my health situation and I can no longer go or do what I was going to do. She is a true blue water boat. She has plenty of head room (6'5") Natural and overhead lighting. This makes her a comfortable cruiser or a live-aboard, or a excellent boat to put into a charter fleet. She is set up to be self-sufficient and capable of crossing oceans or bay. I own the boat free and clear. The boat was surveyed on 9/21/2021.

his 1974 Fiberglass 50.0’ OAL Challenger Sailboat is in excellent condition and is loaded with options. She has plenty of headroom, natural and overhead lighting. This makes her a comfortable cruiser or a live-aboard, or an excellent boat to put into a charter fleet. She is set up to be self-sufficient and capable of crossing oceans or bays. She is ready to take you to your next destination.

She is a true blue water sailing vessel. Total fuel capacity 400 gallons, fresh water capacity is 400 gallons. The clothes washer and dryer are in very good condition. I just replaced all 8 6-volt deep cycle batteries, replaced both 12-volt winches for lifting the dingy. The boat has a wood Freeman autopilot that works. I just upgraded the B&G Radar, B&G Vulcan Plotter, Depth sounder and have a new wind speed/wind angle indicator (just needs to be installed). She has a bow thruster. I installed a dehumidifier that drains to the bilge and then pumped overboard. I upgraded port and starboard running lights, plus she has port and starboard and strobe light on top of the mast. I upgraded to a smart TV, adding a surround sound system. The rear head has a bathtub/shower and the forward head has a toilet and sink. Included are various spare parts for pumps and engine. She comes with a 4-cylinder 85 hp Perkins that starts right up, 28 inch 3 bladed prop with spare prop. I upgraded her from a 30 amp to a 50 amp shore power system. 5Kw Northern Lights Gen set very few hours. Two power winches, one on each side of pilot house for operating the Jib. Both the Jib and main sails are roller-furling system operated from within the enclosed pilothouse. Both sails were replaced when I purchased the boat. It comes with a Spinnaker sail in a sock. 12-volt anchor windless with two anchors. I purchased 1960 watts of solar panels with hardware, just have not had it installed. I have various other sails in storage, some in good shape some need work. I have a life raft in storage for the boat.

The boat is moored at the Railway Marina in Port Orchard, WA. The moorage is transferable as long a you fill out the paper work and send to the owner for approval and processing. The hull is a sturdy 2” of true fiberglass. The boat comes with a 12-volt bow thruster. The boat has a large amount of storage space. Beautiful wood interior throughout.

The boat can sleep 6 comfortably - two people in the master cabin, 2 in the V-berth, one in a bunk and one on the couch. The head room throughout the boat is 6’5”. I’m 6’3” and can move around very easily.

The boat was surveyed on 9/21/2021 and I have a copy that you can look at upon request. I own this boat free and clear and she has a clean title. She is ready to go sailing at any time.

I purchased this sailboat in late 2021. My reason for selling her at this time is I came down with cancer and it has changed my health situation. I can no longer do the things that I wanted do or go where I wanted to go with her.
